HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN CLASS

  •   ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!!   Make a sincere effort to learn.  Learning may be the most difficult task you ever have to accomplish.  It requires concentration, focus and active listening.

  •   BE IN CLASS! Over 95% of the work is done at the computer.  If you’re not here, it will be difficult to complete the work.

  •   COMPLETE ALL ASSIGNMENTS.  Students who do not finish assignments or who are absent must find time to complete assignments.

  • Classroom is open:
    • Every morning before school:  7:35-8:00 (exceptions for outside duty).
    • Monday thru Thursday after school if teacher is notified 3:05-3:30 (longer if advanced arrangements are made).

  • If a student is absent, it is the student’s responsibility to find out what they missed from the teacher at the beginning of class the first day the student returns.  Forgetting to save or print is not an excuse for not completing the assignment.  Extra time may be allowed for equipment failure.

  •   ACT IN AN APPROPRIATE MANNER.  Students whose behaviors are inappropriate are removed from the classroom so that the other students have an opportunity to learn.  Students who are removed from a classroom miss out on instructions and discussions that make the completion of an assignment easier.  Students who are removed from the classroom must find time before school (from 7:35) or after school (until 3:30 if teacher is notified), to complete the assignment.

  • MISUSE OR ABUSE OF PROGRAMS OR EQUIPMENT WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE TIME-OUT AND MAY FURTHER RESULT IN LOSS OF COMPUTER PRIVILEGES AND A PRINCIPAL REFERRAL.

  •   MATERIALS:  Students will need to bring their agenda and a pencil to class each day.
